It was all a dream.

Growing up as a sports keener I collected fond memories of organized team sports.

But well into the adult phase of my life, I found trekking across the city for 12 minutes of ice time in my local recreational hockey league just wasn't enough.

Then I discovered individual adventure sports, and then came the laser-focused preparations needed to develop expedition-style adventure missions, or as we also affectionately refer to a "MISH". What started as canoeing trips with lifelong friends eventually turned into obtaining a grade 5 whitewater rafting license from the New Zealand Rafting Association.

Today I'm actively involved in many adventure sports including endurance paddle racing, kayak touring, and whitewater; commercial rafting - whitewater; canoe tripping; half marathon running; hiking and multi-day trekking; trail running; mountain and gravel biking; nordic classic and skate skiing; all mountain downhill skiing; and backcountry mountain skiing.

My growing body of multi-sporting experience requires me to know about, understand, and use many types of specialized gear. Essentially, I'm your multi-sport "Gearhead" and I won't sell what I wouldn't use myself.

Nowadays, like most of us, working 9 to 5 is the means to being a weekend and vacation warrior. And ultimately I live for the next expedition that was once thought to be unattainable.

We all need a goal, an adventure, to push our limits and create new limits of what we can accomplish, to plan what was once thought to be the unattainable expedition mission, The MISH!

What's your MISH? With the right mindset, support and gear, you can and will complete your MISH too.
